Chandrika Tandon, Indian-American vocalist and entrepreneur, won her first Grammy <\/a>for her album Triveni<\/em> in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The singer shared the honour with her collaborators, South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto. This was her second Grammy nomination after 2009’s Soul Call.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2013\u00a0Chandrika Tandon<\/a> is the\u00a0founder and chair of Krishnamurthy Tandon Foundation and Tandon Capital Associates.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2013 Chandrika Tandon is an\u00a0alumnus of the\u00a0Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Madras Christian College. Did you know she is the older sister of\u00a0Indra Nooyi, former PepsiCo CEO?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2013 As per her LinkedIn profile<\/a>,\u00a0Chandrika Tandon\u00a0was one of the earliest and youngest partners of McKinsey & Co and founded her own NY-based advisory firm, Tandon Capital Associates.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Chandrika <\/a>has received several awards including the Gallatin Medal, NYU\u02bcs highest honour, and\u00a0the Walter Nichols Medal for leadership and integrity.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Ms Tandon, under her non-profit music label, Soul Chants Music, has released six albums \u2013\u00a0Ammu’s Treasures,\u00a0Shivoham \u2013 The Quest,\u00a0Soul March,\u00a0Soul Mantra<\/em>, GRAMMY\u00ae-nominated\u00a0Soul Call\u00a0<\/em>in the Contemporary World Music category, and GRAMMY\u00ae-winning\u00a0Triveni<\/em>\u00a0in Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant.<\/p>\n

The album’s name, Triveni<\/em>\u2014which means \u201cconfluence\u201d in Sanskrit\u2014reflects the trio’s intention to create music that cuts beyond cultural borders.<\/p>\n

Triveni comprises seven tracks including Pathway to Light, Chant in A, Journey Within, Aether’s Serenade, Ancient Moon, Open Sky<\/em>, and Seeking Shakti<\/em>. The album was released on August 30, 2024.<\/p>\n
