by <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/ajay-kumar-sood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ajay Kumar Sood<\/a>, principal scientific advisor to the government of India, along with representatives from various ministries, industry associations, and non-governmental organisations.<\/p>\n<p>Sood emphasised that a refined methodology for GDKP would provide an accurate representation of the contributions of <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/knowledge-driven-sectors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">knowledge-driven sectors<\/a>, <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/innovation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">innovation<\/a>, and intellectual assets to India&#8217;s <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/economic-growth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic growth<\/a>, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>At present, all expenditures on <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/intellectual-property-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">intellectual property products<\/a> (IPP) are recorded under gross fixed capital formation (GFCF), which is a key indicator of knowledge production. <\/p>\n<p>Saurabh Garg, secretary of MoSPI, highlighted ongoing efforts to revise the base year of indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), and Index of Industrial Production (IIP). <\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:1--><br \/>As the ministry
