We are getting ready to welcome many more such blue-chip firms to establish Assam as India\u2019s next tech hub.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sarma said that from the investment summit on February 25 and 26, the state is expecting investment over One lakh core, and the state is also expecting Rs 50,000 crore investment in infrastructure from Government of India.<\/p>\n<p>Sarma said that the state government has received several mou proposals and before inking those state cabinets will scan all the proposals. \u201cMou will be scrutinised during the cabinet meeting on February 23. Unlike other investment summits where MoUs are signed first and later approved by the cabinet, Assam will take the reverse approach\u2014with the cabinet reviewing each proposal beforehand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sarma said, \u201cI am confident that the summit will bring anything beyond Rs 1 lakh crore, and there is also scope for more. On the infrastructure front, we expect projects worth over Rs 50,000 crore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:2--> <br \/>The Chief Minister noted that the current estimates exclude major corporate announcements yet to be made by industry leaders, including <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/panache\/panache-people-101\/mukesh-ambani\/profileshow\/79551066.cms\" rel=\"noopener\">Mukesh Ambani<\/a> and Sajjan Jindal. &#8220;We still don\u2019t know what Ambani, Jindal, and others will announce\u2014that is their prerogative,&#8221; he added.He added the state government has already received 1,500 specific requests for Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across sectors such as sustainable aviation fuel, power projects, hospitals, universities, and medical colleges.Sarma added, \u201cIn the entire world Assam\u2019s identity is tagged with semiconductors. When I visited Japan and Korea in 2019, we addressed roadshows in front of just 20-25 people. This year, the scenario was completely different. Foreign nations are actively seeking a semiconductor ecosystem and advanced chip-making facilities, and Assam is emerging as a promising destination,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One of the sessions, &#8216;I-Way to Viksit Assam&#8217;, in the Investment summit will be chaired by Minister of DoNER Affairs <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/panache\/panache-people-101\/jyotiraditya-scindia\/profileshow\/85625394.cms\" rel=\"noopener\">Jyotiraditya Scindia<\/a>. Another significant session, &#8216;Act East, Act Fast and Act First&#8217;, will feature External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, with ambassadors from Singapore and Thailand also participating.<\/p>\n<p>Union Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on semiconductors, and Union Minister of Petroleum and <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/definition\/natural-gas\" rel=\"noopener\">Natural Gas<\/a> Hardeep Singh Puri will discuss hydrocarbons.
