The Administrative Training Institute<\/a> (ATI), Nainital, will conduct regular courses to train the government employees about the provisions of the newly introduced Uniform Civil Code<\/a> in the state. In this regard, the state\u2019s chief secretary Radha Raturi has written a letter to the director general of the ATI, Nainital.According to the letter, it is necessary for the effective implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state that all government personnel be provided with proper information about the various provisions, procedures, and their responsibilities under the UCC. In this context, the ATI can play an important role. The institute can develop a group of resource persons for training related to UCC<\/a>, who will train officers and employees of various departments, the letter mentioned.<\/p>\n

In the letter, she has said that the UCC training program should be included as a regular course in ATI, so that government personnel can be trained at various levels from time to time. Also, a comprehensive training module should be prepared, which should include legal and administrative aspects of UCC, responsibilities of government officials, registration processes and use of IT portals. Besides, the training sessions related to UCC should also be organized at the district level, so that it can reach all levels of governance and administration effectively.<\/p>\n

Chief secretary Raturi has also written a letter to all the District Magistrates, asking them to ensure marriage registration of the government employees UCC. In the letter, she said under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code (UCC), registration of marriages solemnized after 26.03.2010 has been made mandatory. The district nodal officer nominated for the Uniform Civil Code will complete the marriage registration of all the married government personnel working in his district in a time bound manner. In this regard, a report will be provided regularly by each district to the Secretary, Home, Uttarakhand Government.<\/p>\n

To ensure seamless registration on the UCC portal, the Director, ITDA, Uttarakhand has been directed to provide necessary technical assistance to all the districts and departments. If any district or department needs technical assistance, they will immediately coordinate with the Director, ITDA<\/p>\n
