These changes in the act will make khadi products in sync with the current trends, including sustainability in fashion&#8221; said an official.<\/p>\n<p>These amendments will also ensure a steady stream of the latest fashionable khadi products and a wider range in the market.&#8221;Presently, we don&#8217;t have sustained production of khadi products, leading to empty shelves in khadi outlets which create a poor shopping experience for consumers and weaken the khadi brand,&#8221; said an official.<\/p>\n<p>KVIC, the nodal body associated with making key decisions related to khadi policy, has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Fashion Technology to leverage the institution&#8217;s expertise in fashion for a better understanding of the market trends and launching products tailored to the taste and preferences of youth.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:2--><br \/>The KVIC portal is also being revamped, the official said.The government also through these changes is targeting boosting <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/khadi-exports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">khadi exports<\/a> as it will facilitate the setting up of export promotion facility centres for the fabric.
