Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for roles in\u00a0Gossip Girl<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>, died on Wednesday (February 26). She was 39.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the news agency Assosiated Press<\/a>, police found the actress \u201cunconscious and unresponsive\u201d in her Manhattan apartment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. No foul play was suspected, and the New York Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe family requests privacy for their loss,\u201d\u00a0Michelle\u00a0Trachtenberg’s representative, Gary Mantoosh, said in a statement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
