Donald Trump and JD Vance held a heated meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy \u2013 which saw the US president tell his Ukrainian counterpart he is “gambling with World War Three”. <\/p>\n

Mr Zelenskyy has travelled to the US as he attempts to secure a ceasefire deal with Russia and a possible mineral deal.<\/p>\n

As he met with Mr Trump and his vice president at the White House today, tensions soon rose and a shouting match unfolded – as cameras rolled and representatives from the media looked on.<\/p>\n

Mr Trump told Mr Zelenskyy: “You’re gambling with World War Three, and what you’re doing is very disrespectful to the country.”<\/p>\n

“You’re right now not in a very good position,” he continued. “You don’t have the cards right now with us, you start having problems right now.”<\/p>\n

The clash also saw Mr Vance claim Zelenskyy has been “disrespectful” with his comments about the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

“You should be thanking the President [Trump] for trying to bring an end to this conflict,” he told him.<\/p>\n

Mr Trump then pointed his finger at the Ukrainian president and said: “It’s going to be very hard to do business like this, you have to be thankful.”<\/p>\n

Mr Zelenskyy openly challenged Mr Trump on his softer approach to Vladimir Putin and urged him to make “no compromises with a killer”.<\/p>\n
