Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A<\/a>, the next title in Game Freak’s<\/a> long-running Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> series of video games, received a new trailer at the Pok\u00e9mon Presents showcase Thursday. The trailer showed off the game’s setting and revealed more gameplay but stopped short of confirming a release date. Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A is set for launch on the Nintendo Switch in late 2025. At the presentation, The Pok\u00e9mon Company<\/a> also announced Pok\u00e9mon Champions, a new battling-focussed title for the Switch and mobile devices.<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Legends Z-A Trailer<\/h2>\n

The new trailer for Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A featured more of the game’s Paris-inspired setting, Lumiose City. Players will get an option to choose their starter Pok\u00e9mon from Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile.<\/p>\n

While Pok\u00e9mon games feature turn-based action, Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A will introduce real-time battles, where Trainers and their Pok\u00e9mon move around in real time, and Pok\u00e9mon execute their moves on command. There’s no release date for the game yet, but it’s confirmed to launch in late 2025.<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Champions Announced<\/h2>\n

The Pok\u00e9mon Company also announced a new Pok\u00e9mon game at the presentation. Pok\u00e9mon Champions is a battling-focussed title for Nintendo Switch<\/a> and mobile platforms.<\/p>\n

The game features familiar Pok\u00e9mon battling mechanics and allows players to bring in classic Pok\u00e9mon from Pok\u00e9mon HOME. The game will come with a variety of modes and will support cross-platform battles between Switch and mobile devices. Pok\u00e9mon Champions doesn’t yet have a release date yet and is currently in development for Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.<\/p>\n

The Pok\u00e9mon Presents showcase, which arrived as part of Pok\u00e9mon Day celebrations, also included news and updates on older Pok\u00e9mon titles and other games from the world of Pok\u00e9mon. Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Pok\u00e9mon Violet get a collection of new in-game events. More updates were announced for Pok\u00e9mon Trading Card Game Pocket, Pok\u00e9mon TCG, the Netflix series Pok\u00e9mon Concierge, Pok\u00e9mon GO, Pok\u00e9mon Sleep, Pok\u00e9mon Unite, and more.<\/p>\n

The Pok\u00e9mon Company also announced that video games in the iconic series will now be localized in Latin American Spanish.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
