Veteran actress Aruna Irani<\/a> suffered a fall in Bangkok two weeks ago during a shopping trip with friends. The veteran actress has now shared an update on her health and opened up about the incident.<\/p>\n

In a chat with\u00a0ETimes<\/a>, Aruna Irani revealed that just two days into her vacation, she tripped while walking on the road. Recalling the moment, she said, “I was simply enjoying myself when the accident happened. ‘Itni masti karungi toh ye toh hona hi hai’.<\/em> [If I have this much fun, this is bound to happen.] I received immediate medical attention in Bangkok, and after two weeks of recovery, I returned to Mumbai.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aruna Irani humorously added, \u201cBangkok mein shopping karna bhari pad gaya.<\/em>\u00a0[Shopping in Bangkok turned out to be costly.]\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarifying that the trip wasn’t for work, the veteran actress<\/a> joked, “I had only gone for shopping, but it turned out to be quite an expensive trip for me (laughs). Now, even if someone asks me to go shopping, I just say no!”<\/p>\n

Aruna Irani\u00a0 also mentioned that after returning to Mumbai, she caught a viral infection. She is now recovering from that as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Life brings such moments<\/a>, and this was my turn. I’m 80 now, but I know I’ll get through this,” she concluded.<\/p>\n

Aruna Irani has been a familiar name in Indian cinema since the 1950s. She has featured in films like\u00a0Patthar Ke Sanam,\u00a0Aan Milo Sajna,\u00a0Bombay to Goa,\u00a0Bobby,\u00a0Roti Kapda Aur Makaan<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Jaani Dushman<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n

She has also made her mark on television with shows like\u00a0Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand,\u00a0Babul Ki Bitiya Chali Doli Saja Ke,\u00a0Parichay \u2014 Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Dastaan-E-Mohabbat Salim Anarkali.<\/em><\/p>\n

Most recently, Aruna Irani was seen in the 2024 film\u00a0Ghudchadi<\/em>, alongside Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon.<\/p>\n
