Pandey held the charge of the revenue department before his appointment as Sebi chairman.<br \/>Seth is an officer of the 1987 IAS batch and belongs to the <!-- -->Karnataka cadre<!-- -->. The order said the competent authority has approved the appointment of Seth and it will be till the &#8220;appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.&#8221; <br \/>Seth has been at the helm of the department of economic affairs since Apr 2021.
