India has reached the final in two of the last three ICC ODI tournaments, but on both occasions, they fell short. A concerning pattern has emerged – India lost in the final to the same team it had beaten in the group stage.

2017 Champions Trophy: India defeated Pakistan by 124 runs in the group stage but suffered a 180-run loss in the final.

2023 ODI World Cup: India beat Australia in the league stage but lost to them by six wickets in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad – a heartbreak still fresh in the minds of Indian fans.

Can India overcome the jinx against New Zealand?

Once again, India faces a familiar scenario. In the group stage, India defeated New Zealand by 44 runs in Dubai. Now, they meet again in the final, and Indian fans are hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.
