A six-year-old kindergarten student of DPS Agra<\/a> in Uttar Pradesh has alleged that an eight-year-old senior in Class 2 bullied and assaulted him repeatedly. The child claimed that the senior slapped him at least 30 times, forced him to pick up shoes, and made him lick spit off them, a TOI report stated. He further stated, “He even threatened to kill me.”<\/p>\n

Incident Gains Attention After Video Emerges<\/h2>\n

The matter escalated after a video surfaced in which the KG student<\/a> purportedly narrated the incidents. The child reportedly developed an “anxiety-induced fever” and refused to attend school. His parents assisted in making the video and subsequently filed a complaint with Agra police on March 5.<\/p>\n

In the video, the child could be heard saying, “He first spat on my shoes and then asked me to lick it, he slapped me 30 times. He also threatened to strangle me…”<\/p>\n

School Responds, Suspends Bus Attendant

Nidhi Singh, headmistress of the school’s Dayalbagh campus, said on Friday that she was personally handling the case. “The (victim) child had been studying from nursery, and had some medical issues…. On March 4, his parents complained to me. I constituted a panel. The bus attendant (in which both the pupils used to travel) was suspended and we’re examining the CCTV on the vehicle. The accused pupil was told not to attend school and I summoned his parents and informed them about the allegations.”<\/p>\n

Police Inquiry Underway

ACP Mayank Tiwari, who is investigating the case, confirmed that the police are probing the matter. “Yes, we’re probing this matter. I called both sides on March 8. Further action will be initiated once we hear from them.”

Parents Share Their Perspectives<\/h2>\n

The KG student\u2019s mother stated that her son refused to go to school on March 4. “He was unwell for over a month and we didn’t know the cause even after consulting 3-4 doctors in Agra and doing multiple tests. A week ago, he began mumbling in his sleep, saying, \u2018He will hit me’. During his counselling, he then started sharing his ordeal with a doctor in Agra.”She added, “A Class 2 student mentally harassed him, confined him in the school’s lavatory, slapped him inside the bus while returning home and humiliated him in front of other kids.”The father of the accused Class 2 student defended his child, stating, “My son attends tuition, badminton and music classes, and we’ve never received a single complaint so far. There may have been an incident between pupils on the bus, but it has been blown out of proportion.”
