As the curtains came down on the ICC Champions Trophy<\/a>, a stage that witnessed several breathtaking performances over the last three weeks, some players ensured the spotlight shines a little brighter on them. From blistering centuries to match-winning spells, the tournament was a showcase of skill, temperament and most importantly, T20-ready performances.
With the IPL<\/a> 2025 season on the horizon, scouts and franchise owners would undoubtedly have taken note of these standout players, whose stellar campaigns could translate into lucrative contracts in the world\u2019s biggest T20 league.

All these cricketers, incidentally, participated in the auctions and went unsold, so they could become attractive buys in case franchises shop for replacements.
BEN DUCKETT<\/a> (ENGLAND)<\/span>
Duckett\u2019s stellar performance in the ICC Champions Trophy has significantly bolstered his prospects for inclusion in the 2025 IPL. In a group-stage match against Australia, Duckett went into overdrive, scoring 165 runs off 143 balls with 17 fours and three sixes embellishing the innings. Despite going unsold in the initial IPL-2025 auction, Duckett\u2019s recent form has caught the attention of several franchises seeking to strengthen their squads. Reports suggest that Royal Challengers Bangalore are considering him as a potential replacement player
TOM LATHAM<\/a> (NEW ZEALAND)<\/span>
In the opening game against Pakistan, Latham hit an unbeaten 118 off 104 balls, including 10 fours and 3 sixes. Throughout the tournament, Latham consistently contributed to New Zealand\u2019s cause. His proficiency against both pace and spin, coupled with his wicketkeeping abilities, make him a valuable asset in the T20 format also. Latham\u2019s recent form could open opportunities for him to secure an IPL contract.
MATT HENRY<\/a> (NEW ZEALAND) <\/span>
Henry emerged as the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, securing 10 wickets in four matches at an impressive average of 16.70 and an economy rate of 5.32. Henry\u2019s consistent wicket-taking ability and control over run flow were standout features. His proficiency in both the Powerplay and death overs makes him a valuable asset in the T20 format. He has previously played for Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. And given his current form and experience, Henry is poised to be a soughtafter player if any franchise wishes to make an addition to its squad or bring in a replacement player. It all depends, though, on the shoulder injury that didn\u2019t allow him to play in the CT final.
IBRAHIM ZADRAN (AFGHANISTAN)<\/span>
In a pivotal group-stage match against England, Zadran delivered a record-breaking innings, scoring 177 off 146 balls \u2013 the highest individual score in Champions Trophy history. His innings was marked by 12 boundaries and six sixes, highlighting his ability to smash those big ones. Despite his impressive credentials, Zadran went unsold in the initial IPL-2025 auction, where his base price was set at Rs 75 lakh. However, his recent exploits have reignited interest among IPL franchises.
MICHAEL BRACEWELL<\/span> (NEW ZEALAND)<\/span>
A lower-order hard-hitting batsman and a highly effective off-spinner, Bracewell was impressive with both bat and ball in the Champions Trophy. In the match against Bangladesh, he delivered his best ODI bowling figures, 4\/26. In the final against India, Bracewell played a crucial knock. His quickfire 53 off 40 balls ensured the Black Caps reached a competitive total. During India\u2019s chase, Bracewell delivered a stingy spell, picking the prized scalp of Virat Kohli as well as Axar Patel and finishing with figures of 2\/28 in his 10 overs. He has previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2023 season.
BEN DWARSHUIS (AUSTRALIA)<\/span>
The tall Australian delivered notable performances in the Champions Trophy. Over three matches, he secured seven wickets at of 21.71 and an economy rate of 5.84. His standout performance came against Afghanistan, where he achieved figures of 3\/47. Dwarshuis\u2019s left-arm seam bowling offers variety, and his experience in high-pressure situations makes him an attractive proposition for the IPL franchises. He has previously been a part of Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab in the IPL. Dwarshuis is also a sought-after player in various T20 leagues of the world<\/div>\n
