Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra<\/a> has been summoned by the Khar Police to appear before the investigating officer at 11 am on Tuesday. The summons is in connection with Kamra’s remarks about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Mumbai Police<\/a>, Kamra<\/a> is currently not in Mumbai. The case was initially registered by the MIDC Police, but it has now been transferred to Khar Police for further investigation.<\/p>\n

This action follows the controversy stirred by Kamra’s song, where he referred to Eknath Shinde as a ‘traitor.’ The song led to Shiv Sena<\/a> members vandalising the Habitat Studio<\/a>, where Kamra had recorded his performance.<\/p>\n

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis<\/a> condemned Kamra’s comments, stating that “people like him need to be taught a lesson.”
