Shah, in a written reply to the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/rajya-sabha\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rajya Sabha<\/a>, said there are 8.32 lakh cooperative societies as per the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/national-cooperative-database\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Cooperative Database<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><!--\/dynamic_link.cms?msid=107107653&subsecid=1715249553&pos=toppotime:1--> &#8220;Out of the total 8,32,103 cooperative societies, 6,37,221 are functional, and 45,811 are under liquidation stage in India as of March 1, 2025,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p> Over 1.50 lakh cooperative societies are non-functional. <\/p>\n<p> However, since formation of a separate cooperation ministry in July 2021, the government has taken several initiatives to strengthen the sector, he added. <\/p>\n<p>Replying to another query, the minister said there is a steady increase in budget allocation over past three years which has a positive impact in enabling the ministry to implement its key cooperative initiatives in an efficient manner.<!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=105115637&pos=botpotime:1--><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/india\/govt-says-45811-cooperative-societies-under-liquidation\/articleshow\/119534902.cms\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said about 45,811 cooperative societies are under liquidation.
