Taylor Swift is never one to shy away from contributing to philanthropic causes, whether it\u2019s disaster relief, food banks, or organisations supporting children and women.<\/a> One such moment stayed with Ellen Pompeo, who recently shared a story about Swift\u2019s generosity during her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. The Grey\u2019s Anatomy star, who once got the opportunity to star in Swift\u2019s Bad Blood music video, recounted an incident when she had just met Swift\u2014only 20 minutes in\u2014and the singer signed the biggest charity cheque for her without blinking an eye.<\/p>\n

During the show, Pompeo couldn\u2019t stop raving about how working with Swift<\/a> in her music video earned her major \u201ccool points\u201d with her kids. She joked that she\u2019s still reaping the benefits, saying the experience gave her \u201cso much mileage\u201d with them. \u201cTaylor is such a good girl. I didn\u2019t know her and she invited me to be in the video and I thought, \u2018Oh, that will be fun.\u2019 And I went and did the video.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Pompeo went on to share how she and her husband, Chris Ivery, are longtime supporters of Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles. She explained how the hospital ran a special program where parents who had to work all day could record themselves singing nursery rhymes or telling stories for their babies in the NICU. \u201cThe babies respond to it, and it improves their outcomes,\u201d she said. But according to Pompeo, at the time, the programme needed serious funding and was falling short. So, she decided to take a chance. \u201cI asked Taylor, \u2018Could you write me a big old check for Children?\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cShe had only known me for about 20 minutes, and that girl wrote me the biggest cheque without blinking an eye.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other hand, the 14-time Grammy winner<\/a> is also one of the biggest fans of Grey\u2019s Anatomy. She even named her cat Meredith Grey after Pompeo\u2019s character on the hit medical drama. And that\u2019s how Pompeo landed her cameo in Bad Blood. She joined a star-studded list that included Mariska Hargitay, Selena Gomez<\/a>, Zendaya, and others. Filming the video, according to Pompeo, \u201cwas the easiest thing.\u201d She said she spent just \u201can hour or two\u201d on set.<\/span><\/p>\n

In one of her old interviews, the Fortnight crooner expressed her admiration for the beloved TV series and said that having her music featured in the medical show was one of the best things that happened to her. \u201cI love Grey\u2019s Anatomy because I think it\u2019s the best example of dry, sarcastic humour I\u2019ve ever seen mixed with drama, because in life there\u2019s humor and there\u2019s drama.\u201d Pompeo is currently promoting her Hulu series Good American Family.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
