In 2016, Karan Johar produced the film Kapoor & Sons<\/a> with his Student of The Year stars Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles. The film, also starring actors Fawad Khan, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Rishi Kapoor went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year. Apart from the film, its songs also became a fan favourite. The song, Kar Gayi Chull, became everybody\u2019s party anthem, and after all these years still remains a must-play song at happy gatherings.<\/p>\n

The song, written and sung by Badshah \u2014 along with Fazilpuria, Sukriti Kakar and Neha Kakkar \u2014 had a reference to veteran star Raveena Tandon. The line read: \u201cKya naache tu Dilli, hile hai London, matak matak jaise Raveena Tandon.\u201d Now, after almost a decade, the actress recalled how Karan Johar<\/a> approached her before using her name in the song, fearing her husband Anil Thadani.<\/p>\n

At her recent appearance on Sony<\/a> TV\u2019s Indian Idol, the actress shared, \u201cI remember Karan called me. After I recevied his call, Karan told me, \u2018I want your permission to use your name in a song\u2019. As soon as I heard that, I was like, \u2018How sweet? Of course, use karle.\u2019 But then he was still hesitant, he was like, \u2018What about Anil Thadani?\u2019 He then said, \u2018He won\u2019t beat me up no? Please take Anil\u2019s permission first.\u2019 Then Karan shared the two lines with us, and we found that extremely cute. I was like irrespective of Anil\u2019s decision, it is yes from me.\u201d She also mentioned that they were already great fans of Badshah\u2019s songs and raps.<\/p>\n

The song, released in 2016 by Sony Music India, has garnered 502 million views in nine years. Kapoor and Sons was co-written and directed by Shakun Batra.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
