Sikander Kher, son of actor Kirron Kher, grew up with his stepdad Anupam Kher, even though his biological father was Gautam Berry. In a recent interview, when Sikander was asked about his father, the actor said that he had two fathers but none of them were ever too present in his life. He shared that when Kirron and Gautam<\/a><\/strong> were going through their divorce, he was living with his mother and Anupam,<\/a> <\/strong>whom he addressed as his \u201cfather for life.\u201d He also said that the love language between him and Anupam is \u201cgiving each other space.\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking on the YouTube channel Tape A Tale, Sikander, when asked about \u201cfather\u201d said, \u201cTwo of them. I had two of them. My biological father and then my father for life. Gautam is my biological father who passed away 11 years ago and Anupam papa is Anupam papa who has been my father forever.\u201d He then shared that when Anupam and Kirron married each other in 1985, Anupam was an upcoming actor and was working all the time, so he didn\u2019t spend time much time with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have had two but not that much in my life because they both have been busy. When my mom and dad got divorced, I was with my mom and my other dad but my other dad was becoming an actor and flourishing and his career was picking up so he was mostly out of the house,\u201d he said and added, \u201cFathers are fathers, man. Fathers and sons are hectic. Simple.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about the important life lessons he learnt from Anupam, Sikander recalled that Anupam taught him to never be afraid of failure. \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid of failure, you have nothing to lose, ever,\u201d he recalled and shared another teaching from his father, \u201c\u2018Bheega hua aadmi barish se nahi darta\u2019<\/em> is such an amazing thing that i have learnt from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sikander was also asked about his \u201clove language with his father\u201d and he shared that their love language is all about giving each other space. \u201cI don\u2019t think we have a love language. It\u2019s just \u2018Kher saab<\/em>, How\u2019s it going?\u2019 \u2018Nothing.\u2019 \u2018Okay bye bye\u2019. That\u2019s it man. We give each other space. That\u2019s the love language between him and me. I think that\u2019s really important because that\u2019s a love language as well. Giving each other space is a very big love language,\u201d he said. He then added, \u201cHe is not breathing down my neck and telling me what to do and what not to do. And therefore, I am not like, \u2018stay off\u2019, so it\u2019s really good. He is amazing that way. I think that\u2019s great. That\u2019s the love language.\u201d<\/p>\n
