Drake\u2019s up to something, and if his latest Instagram post is anything to go by, it\u2019s big. The Canadian rapper dropped a cryptic message on Monday, teasing a \u201cnext chapter\u201d that, in his own words, \u201cmay leave (fans) feeling uneasy.\u201d Whether he\u2019s hinting at his ongoing beef with rapper Kendrick Lamar, a future project, or something completely new, Drake is keeping everyone guessing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The post comes months after his infamous feud with Kendrick. <\/span>Standing in a lavish, stained glass-decorated room, the \u2018<\/span>Hotline Bling\u2019 singer struck a pensive pose in a black embellished jacket. \u201cU know I grew up non-confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut these days, the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Drake<\/a> seems to be acknowledging the weight of the competition, possibly alluding to the intense back-and-forth with Kendrick. He went on to add, \u201cI understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity, not charity\u2026 especially about the unanswered texts you\u2019ve been sending me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This cryptic message follows months of lyrical back-and-forth between Drake and Kendrick. Their sparring heated up last year when Kendrick dropped \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d a track that quickly became an anthem, topped Spotify charts, and ultimately grabbed a Grammy. But if that was not enough Kendrick also performed the song at the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, taking a high-profile jab at Drake in front of millions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rap feud that took over pop culture<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The rivalry between Drake and Kendrick didn\u2019t transcended the world of music. It spilled over into pop culture and had everyone talking. Even during the 2025 Oscars, host Conan O\u2019Brien took a jab at their feud during his opening monologue.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tension between Drake and Kendrick started back in 2013 when Kendrick dropped his verse on Big Sean\u2019s \u2018Control,\u2019 calling out several rappers, including Drake. What followed was a long cold war, with both sides taking subtle shots and shading each other through their music.<\/span><\/p>\n

But things exploded in 2024. Kendrick again dropped his verse on Metro Boomin\u2019s \u2018Like That,\u2019 where he dismissed the idea of a \u201cbig three\u201d in hip-hop. From there, it was an all-out war. He followed up with hard-hitting tracks like \u2018Euphoria\u2019, \u20186:16 in LA\u2019, \u2018Meet the Grahams\u2019, and the chart-topping \u2018Not Like Us\u2019, which were packed with heavy accusations. <\/span>Drake didn\u2019t stay silent either.
