In light of the tense situation and risk of further unrest, curfew under Section 63 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) was enforced across the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>Ali had supported the Waqf Act in social media posts on Saturday, triggering protests across the valley, including road blockades and clashes in Imphal East and Thoubal.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, security forces were fired upon by suspected militants during search operations in the hills and valley. A large camp used by miscreants was discovered, and three people involved in a recent arson case were arrested in follow-up raids.
