Will Smith sparked an outrage on social media after his steamy performance with Spanish singer India Mart\u00ednez at the Premio Lo Nuestro awards ceremony in Miami went viral. The duo\u2019s on-stage kiss has led to a major controversy, with many calling Will\u2019s act \u2018inappropriate\u2019. Netizens are also questioning their sultry interaction, amid his unusual marriage with his wife<\/a>, actor Jada Pinkett Smith.<\/p>\n

Will performed with Mart\u00ednez on stage at the Premio Lo Nuestro awards on Thursday. The actor joined the singer on stage to sing the song \u201cFirst Love\u201d. While they were singing together, their \u2018head-turning\u2019 performance raised quite a few eyebrows. The duo also shared a kiss during the course of the performance.\u00a0 Will and India\u2019s backstage pictures also showed her jumping into his arms and wrapping her legs around him.<\/p>\n

Many social media users took to the comment section of India\u2019s Instagram post with Will and expressed their thoughts on the joint appearance. A user wrote, \u201cThis is the worst,\u201d while another said, \u201cInappropriate, even if it is entertainment.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s like someone\u2019s dad\u2019s on karaoke with a drunk local woman,\u201d one fan commented. A person wrote, \u201cEmbarrassing\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, many users pointed out that the kiss was an on-stage stunt rather than a sincere romantic gesture between the two.\u00a0Smith is seen leaning in for a kiss when Mart\u00ednez is seen rejecting him and walking past, only to return to him and kissing Will.<\/p>\n

His performance grabbed even more eyeballs because of the ongoing speculation around his unconventional marriage with Jada Pinkett Smith. Although, the former couple has been separated since 2016, they announced in 2023 that they haven\u2019t filed for divorce. As per a source by PEOPLE, \u201cThey are living their own lives but haven\u2019t completely severed ties. Call it what you want.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will and Jada married in\u00a01997.
