I respect his choices, but it seems like he doesn\u2019t respect the ones I make. So, one-way street.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"osv-ad-class\" style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2;height: 375px;margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>McIlroy, 33, partnered with Garcia in the Ryder Cup and served as a groomsman at his wedding in 2017. McIlroy, however, told the Irish Independent that he was offended that Garcia sent him a text during last year\u2019s U.S. Open \u201cbasically telling me to shut up about LIV, blah, blah, blah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garcia told the Telegraph he\u2019d be open to clearing the air, but it doesn\u2019t appear that will happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSure, I don\u2019t have a problem with him,\u201d Garcia said. \u201cHe\u2019s the one that has a problem. So if he wants to reconcile, then I\u2019m willing to talk, but I\u2019m not sure he\u2019ll put himself down to that level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If the LIV players win an arbitration case that would allow them to remain on the DP World Tour, the rift between the two stars could grow deeper. It would allow Garcia \u2014 the all-time Ryder Cup points leader \u2014 and other LIV members earn points toward automatic qualification for the Ryder Cup.
