Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor\u2019s film Nadaaniyan received a lot of criticism after its release in March. Apart from the film, the actors were severely critcised for their performances.<\/a> <\/strong>At one point, producer Karan Johar addressed the criticism and asked people to be a bit more \u201csensitive\u201d<\/a><\/strong> when they spoke about the film. In a recent interview, Soha Ali Khan, who is Ibrahim\u2019s aunt, was asked about the trolls who attacked Ibrahim after the release of his debut film and she said that one needs to develop a thicker skin if they want to be a part of the entertainment industry. She also said that they also need to work on their craft and not surround themselves with yes-men.<\/p>\n

\u201cNumber one, I think you need to have thick skin when you join this world,\u201d she shared in a chat with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel. Soha said that one needs to be able to \u201cdigest people\u2019s opinion or then don\u2019t read the comments. But, I feel, like sometimes, it\u2019s important to read the comments because you can\u2019t just work in a vacuum. You have to be receptive to certain critcism and you have to work on your craft and go forward.\u201d Ibrahim is the son of Saif Ali Khan<\/a> and his first wife Amrita Singh. Soha and Saif are siblings.<\/p>\n

Soha added that there is a \u201clot of hate in the world\u201d and there are people who celebrate others\u2019 failures and in all of this, \u201cactors become easy targets because we put ourselves out there.\u201d She shared that the only thing that one can do is to \u201chave some kind of armour and not shut yourself out to the world, not surround yourself only with love and people who are gong to say positive things and be like yes-men.\u201d She added that one needs to be open to criticism and work on their craft.<\/p>\n

\u201cBe open to criticism, introspect, self criticise, work on your craft but also have a thick skin and don\u2019t let someone\u2019s opinion bring you down. Don\u2019t let your film\u2019s success or failure, perhaps, destroy you in ways but also recognise where you need to work on something and work on your craft and become better,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Previously, during the trailer launch of Akaal, Karan Johar<\/a> said, \u201cThese intellectual cinema lovers should have a sensitive side because nobody wants to be kicked. Kicking is violence. It is physical violence. When you are not allowed violence in the real world, even words are equally violent. You should be condemned for being violent.\u201d<\/p>\n
