Actor Ayushmann Khurrana\u2019s wife, writer-director Tahira Kashyap, who is battling breast cancer again, is ensuring that she brings a dash of humour and a lot of strength to her journey. She has shared a fun anecdote from her recent doctor visit for her breast cancer treatment. Tahira, who became cancer-free in 2018, announced recently that it was back. In her latest post, Tahira revealed the different songs that the medical experts played at the hospital to cheer her up during her imaging and surgery procedures. However, Shah Rukh Khan\u2019s sad track from \u201cKal Ho Naa Ho\u201d was not her preferred choice. SRK played a cancer patient in the film.<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram handle, the Sharmajee Ki Beti filmmaker shared a series of photos with long notes about her hospital visit. With Kal Ho Naa Ho playing in the background, the first image read, \u201cAs I entered the scanning and imaging area, the doc there perhaps in his attempt to make the mood lighter had his playlist on. This was the song that was playing as I lay down ready to be taken inside! I gulped and said, \u201d Sir I appreciate your gesture. but pls isse toh band hi kardo!’\u201d She captioned the post as, \u201cHospitals and music are deeply and surgically connected! #HospitalChronicles (Read each one with its music piece).\u201d<\/p>\n

The second photo of the carousel was about her choice of song in the operation theatre. She wrote, \u201cIn the OT the lovely anaesthesiologist asked me which song would I like to listen to before being knocked out. I saw all the tools coming in and being prepped in the trays. This was the song playing in my head!\u201d The song playing in this one was Asha Bhosle\u2019s \u201cChakku Chhuriyan Tez Kar Lo\u201d.<\/p>\n

The last note was about her post operation song to take a calm walk in the corridor. With \u201cPehla Nasha\u201d in the background, Tahira wrote, \u201cHours after the surgery the doc asked me to take few rounds around the corridor. Little did I know that I would be privy to other patients choice of consuming news. This 70 year old lady with her room\u2019s door ajar was keenly listening to an actor\u2019s love life and the disclosure of his recent relationship. Few minutes later I saw her stumbling out of her room racing ahead of me. I can swear I heard her saying agar yeh itna dangal macha sakten hain toh main kyon nahi!\u2019 I always knew the power of cinema both on and off the screen!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tahira Kashyap has been a strong voice of early detection and treatment for breast cancer<\/a>, since the time she defeated it first time seven years ago.
