Nick Jonas recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show,<\/a> where he shared what he and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, think about their daughter Malti Marie joining the entertainment industry at a young age. Nick was joined by his Broadway play, The Last Five Years co-star Adrienne Warren. Clarkson shared how she started at 19 and gets nervous about letting her kids do the same at a young age, and then directed her question toward the singer: \u201cWould you let yours?\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick admitted that Malti Marie loves to sing but added that, in the end, the decision will be hers. Talking about the idea of her stepping into showbiz, Nick said, \u201cWe have talked about it a lot. It\u2019s going to be her choice. We have a three-year-old, and she loves to sing. I think a career in entertainment is a wonderful career. It\u2019s also scary as a parent to think about all the things that I went through, my wife has gone through in her career.\u201d However, Nick also mentioned that, as a parent, the thought is scary\u2014especially after all that he and Priyanka have gone through in their own careers. \u201cYour one job in life is to protect your kids, but it\u2019s also to let them fly and live their life,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nick started his professional singing career at the age of seven, when he appeared on Broadway in A Christmas<\/a> Carol. On the other hand, Priyanka stepped into the modelling world when she was just a teenager. During the conversation, Nick also shared that his daughter isn\u2019t a fan of football. \u201cWe once took her to practice, and she was not at all having it,\u201d he said, before adding, \u201cAnyway, she\u2019s singing a ton.\u201d He continued, \u201cI\u2019m so grateful to my parents for letting us take big risks and chances. I think they did a great job of balancing that support while also being a little scared at times.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
