Actor Mukesh Khanna, who is best known for playing the role of Shaktimaan on TV, accused comedian Kapil Sharma<\/a> of being rude to him at an awards show. The veteran actor has disparaged the comedian several times on his YouTube channel, but he insists that he wasn\u2019t offended by his behaviour towards him. This time, in an appearance on the podcast Uncensored with Shardul, Mukesh Khanna said that the \u2018entire country\u2019 touches his feet without him asking for it, and that decency is a fast-disappearing trait in the film industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was mentioning to someone the reason I do not like Kapil Sharma and why I refused to go on his show, and that story should serve as an eye-opener to everyone, to understand how the film industry really works. At the Gold Awards, I was being presented with an award, and Kapil Sharma, who was naya naya paida hua <\/em>(he was new to the industry) and was doing Comedy Circus, was also being awarded. He came and sat beside me and did not even acknowledge me; he sat there for around 20 minutes, and once his name came up, he took the award and went home,\u201d said the actor.<\/p>\n

He also mentioned other names from the industry, and said that they have been cordial with him in public. \u201cI have met Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan<\/a>) so many times on flights. I was coming back from London, and so was he. We do not know each other, but he knows that both of us are actors, so we talked. Hrithik Roshan<\/a> and I were standing at the airport, and he met me and told me, \u2018At this point there are two superheroes standing at this airport.\u2019 Even though you have never met someone, you give them such a big compliment, and that is our industry, our fraternity. Kapil Sharma did not have any courtesy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Khanna shot to fame after playing Bhishma in the 1988 Mahabharata television series;<\/a> he has also appeared in several films, and now conducts interviews on YouTube. He was last seen in the Telugu film Purushothamudu, alongside Prakash Raj, Murli Sharma and Raj Tarun.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
