Credit card-linked Unified Payments Interface (UPI<\/a>) transactions jumped 12 times on the Razorpay<\/a> platform over the last financial year, data from the Razorpay Annual Payments Report 2024 showed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, an internal study conducted by Razorpay showed that 96% of the respondents wanted their brands to offer a seamless online and offline payments experience. <\/p>\n

Overall, credit card-linked UPI payments and cross-border merchant payments are two major sectors which will drive growth in digital payments in the coming years, the Bengaluru based payment aggregator said.<\/p>\n

Looking at the transaction trends on the Razorpay platform, the company reported a 44% jump in terms of value of payments and a 13% rise in transaction volume, between March 2023 and April 2024.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, payments for cab rides fell 28% on November 19, the day of the cricket World Cup final, showing Indians were glued to their television sets to catch the action.<\/p>\n

Overall, sectors like entertainment, travel, education, and health and wellness saw robust growth in the last two years. In terms of financial services, mutual fund spends went up 86% whereas trading went up 62%, according to transaction trends on the Razorpay platform. <\/p>\n
