The last time Meghna Gulzar and Kareena Kapoor Khan ventured into the crime thriller genre, their respective contributions yielded remarkable returns. Gulzar helmed the seminal investigative drama Talvar, while Khan delivered compelling performances in Jaane Jaan<\/strong><\/a> and The Buckingham Murders. Now, with the addition of Prithviraj Sukumaran \u2014 renowned for his work in critically acclaimed Malayalam thrillers such as Mumbai Police and Memories \u2014 the convergence of these three cinematic voices promises a distinctly original narrative.<\/p>\n

Junglee Pictures, having previously collaborated with Gulzar on Talvar and Raazi, reunites with the director for a third venture: Daayra. Currently in pre-production, this crime drama \u2014 co-written by Yash and Sima \u2014 marks the first collaboration between Kareena Kapoor Khan<\/strong><\/a> and Sukumaran, setting the stage for a project of considerable anticipation.<\/p>\n

Gulzar, steering what many are calling a casting coup, is eager to commence filming, remarking, \u201cWith co-writers Sima and Yash, unravelling the greys within the black and white, was both challenging and exciting. Currently marking her 25th year in cinema, Khan appears to be moving beyond conventional star-driven vehicles, choosing instead to collaborate with directors such as Hansal Mehta and Sujoy Ghosh. Gulzar, it seems, is an ideal creative partner at this juncture, and Khan is eager to begin filming what she describes as \u201ca powerful and timely film of our times.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
