{"id":282969,"date":"2025-04-16T00:16:10","date_gmt":"2025-04-16T00:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.talkwithrattan.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/16\/red-bull-look-very-strong-says-ferraris-charles-leclerc\/"},"modified":"2025-04-16T00:16:10","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T00:16:10","slug":"red-bull-look-very-strong-says-ferraris-charles-leclerc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.talkwithrattan.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/16\/red-bull-look-very-strong-says-ferraris-charles-leclerc\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Bull look very strong, says Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i3.wp.com\/data.indianexpress.com\/election2019\/track_1x1.jpg?ssl=1\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"Red Bull look very strong, says Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc\" title=\"Red Bull look very strong, says Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc\" \/><\/div><p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"pcl-full-content\">\n<p>Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc topped the morning timesheets on the final day of Formula One\u2019s pre-season test in Bahrain on Saturday but said Red Bull remained the team to beat.<\/p>\n<p>The Monegasque lapped the Sakhir circuit with a fastest time of one minute 31.024 seconds on the Pirelli C4 tyres, 0.418 quicker than Mercedes\u2019 George Russell who was using the softer C5 rubber.<\/p>\n<p><ev-engagement group-name=\"contentLogin\"\/><ev-engagement group-name=\"myNotification\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"ev-meter-content ie-premium-content-block\">\n<p>\u201cI feel we\u2019ve got some work to do,\u201d Leclerc told reporters after handing over to team mate Carlos Sainz for the final session.<br \/>\u201cRed Bull seems to be very strong in these three days.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"osv-ad-class\" style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2;height: 375px;margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Leclerc was runner-up last year to Red Bull\u2019s double world champion Max Verstappen, and the pair will be renewing their rivalry when the season starts in Bahrain next week.<\/p>\n<p>The Ferrari driver said he felt in the best shape of his life after some extreme winter training in the Dolomites, and was fully recharged.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari started last year strongly, with Leclerc winning two of the first three races, before the challenge petered out in strategic errors, poor reliability and driver mistakes.<\/p>\n<p>Mattia Binotto has left as principal since then, replaced by Frenchman Fred Vasseur whose task is to deliver the team\u2019s first championship since the constructors\u2019 title in 2008.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adboxtop adsizes\">\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Red Bull won 17 of 22 races last year, Verstappen triumphant in 15 of them.<\/p>\n<p>Leclerc said the new SF-23 car was a very different one to last year\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been trying a lot of different driving styles. I seem to have found my way a little bit this morning, finally,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI expect us to be a bit quicker in the straights, maybe struggling a little bit more in the corners,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adboxtop adsizes\">\n<p>Story continues below this ad<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe are still working quite a bit on trying to find the sweet spot of the car in terms of setup so I hope there\u2019s some margin on that still, that we haven\u2019t found the sweet spot yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Verstappen, who was quickest in both sessions on Thursday and second on Friday evening, told reporters he was happy with his car even if it remained a work in progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been very good. I think the car\u2019s working really well.
