Randeep Hooda got married to Lin Laishram<\/a> in November 2023.\u00a0The couple’s wedding took place in Imphal\u00a0with\u00a0traditional Manipuri customs.\u00a0In a recent interview, the\u00a0Jaat\u00a0<\/em>actor revealed that his family was initially against the idea of him marrying outside their caste.<\/p>\n

While talking to Shubhankar Mishra<\/a>, Randeep said, “There were complications. Like anyone else, my parents also wanted\u00a0that\u00a0I\u00a0marry\u00a0within the caste. That’s quite prevalent in Jaats<\/em>.\u00a0In fact,\u00a0I’m the first one in my family to marry a non-Jaat<\/em>. So everybody had a problem with that, but it gradually\u00a0went away.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the past, Randeep Hooda<\/a> shared that he never wanted to get married. \u201cI used to be very sad in school. I would think\u00a0that I\u00a0wouldn’t like to bring another person into this world who’d go through schooling like I did. So I never had the intention,” said the actor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, everything\u00a0changed\u00a0when Randeep\u00a0met\u00a0Lin, who\u00a0made\u00a0him reconsider his decision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Somehow, our paths crossed, and I’m\u00a0very happy\u00a0that they\u00a0did.\u00a0I got a little late in getting married because I\u00a0joke\u00a0that I\u00a0don’t\u00a0have a government job,” the actor added.<\/p>\n

Last year in November, Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram celebrated their first wedding anniversary. On the special occasion, the actress shared an adorable anniversary wish for her husband on her Instagram Stories.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The post featured a glimpse of both their hands on a piano.<\/p>\n

The text on the image read, \u201cHappy 1st anniversary to my classmate from piano lesson.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also tagged Randeep Hooda in the picture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lin Laishram\u00a0made her Bollywood debut\u00a0alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in\u00a0Om Shanti Om<\/em>. Since then, she has appeared in films like\u00a0Mary Kom<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Jaane Jaan<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Randeep Hooda’s film\u00a0Jaat<\/em>\u00a0is currently running in theatres.\u00a0The film features Sunny Deol\u00a0in\u00a0the lead\u00a0role.<\/p>\n
