Sunny Deol returned to the big screen full throttle, hoping to recreate the magic of Gadar 2 with his new film Jaat<\/a><\/strong>. Despite much anticipation, the film had a modest opening and managed to maintain a decent momentum over its first weekend. However, as the weekdays rolled in, Jaat\u2019s collections began to steadily decline.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the film saw another drop, earning Rs 4 crore, according to Sacnilk. This took its total domestic collection to Rs 57.50 crore. Jaat registered an overall 10.26 percent Hindi occupancy on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The film opened on April 10 with Rs 9.5 crore at the box office. Though its collections dipped on Friday, it managed to pick up over the weekend, collecting Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 14 crore on Sunday. But the weekday figures painted a different picture \u2013 \u2013 48 percent drop on Monday with Rs 7.25 crore, followed by Rs 6 crore on Tuesday<\/a><\/strong>, and then Rs 4 crore on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Jaat performed notably well in North India. According to a Box Office India report, the film collected more in Jaipur than in Mumbai<\/a> on its opening day. In fact, Jaipur emerged as the second-highest collecting city for Jaat after Delhi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also worth noting that Jaat\u2019s collections took a hit on Wednesday, coinciding with the opening of advance bookings for Akshay Kumar<\/a>\u2019s Kesari 2. The film has already made a strong impact, raking in over Rs 81 lakh in advance bookings on its first day. Kesari 2 is set to release this Friday, a week after Jaat, and is already giving tough competition.<\/p>\n

Earlier, in a conversation with Bollywood Life, Sunny Deol<\/a> spoke about the inevitable box office pressure that comes with new releases. He candidly admitted, \u201cPressure? I have not taken pressure basically ever in my life. But aaj ke zamaane mein even if you are not taking then koi sui chubho deta he ki pressure lo! Kyuki itne charche hone lag jaate hain ke ye figure he, wo he! Aadmi ghabrane lag jata hai (In today\u2019s age people will pin you down with the pressure. Because there are so many discussions on this and that, we get worried).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
