Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh<\/a><\/strong> and actor Hazel Keech have been married for nine years and are also parents to two adorable kids<\/a><\/strong>. The two have a successful marriage despite coming from two different backgrounds. While Yuvraj grew up in Punjab, Hazel was born and brought up in England. In a recent interaction, Yuvraj\u2019s mother, Shabnam Singh, recalled how the cricketer introduced his \u2018angrezi\u2019 girlfriend Hazel Keech to her.<\/p>\n

Shabnam remembered that she was never invited to her son\u2019s birthday parties, which used to be organised in Mumbai<\/a>. But one year, the cricketer decided to invite her on the happy occasion and used it as an excuse to introduce her to the woman who would later become his wife. She told Curly Tales, \u201cMy ticket was booked for Mumbai. I had to attend a function but Yuvraj threatened the organisers that I should get on that plane.\u201d<\/p>\n

Explaining the moment she first saw Hazel, she said, \u201cI entered and there was this girl sitting and throwing popcorn at Yuvraj, who was catching them with his mouth. She was trying to make him catch popcorn.\u201d Yuvraj quickly intervened and said, \u201cYou didn\u2019t have to tell this story here.\u201d Ignoring him, Shabnam continued, \u201cHe had liked her and he wanted me to meet her. So I saw this cute little girl. So, that was the first time I met Hazel.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the interaction, Yuvraj also opened up about his strained relationship with his father and former cricketer, Yograj Singh. He said, \u201cWith my father, the relationship was more of a coach and less of a dad.\u201d Yuvraj added that he doesn\u2019t have the same approach towards his kids. \u201cI don\u2019t want to be a coach to my kids, I want to be a dad first. If they pick up cricket then I can be their coach but I feel I want to be a dad and have fun while being that. Things I couldn\u2019t do with my dad, I do with them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
