Polling for both the states will be conducted on April 19.<br \/>Results will be out for all the 543 seats, including the two seats in Arunachal and one in Sikkim, on June 4.The change in schedule a day after announcement of poll dates points to a possible oversight by the commission, given that the date of expiry of term of the two state assemblies would have been known to EC even when it finalised the original schedule.<br \/>\u201cECI is to conduct election to legislative assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim before the cessation of their terms, in exercise of the powers conferred upon under Article 324 read with Article 172(1) of the Constitution of India and Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
