Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are a perfect couple but their love story began on an awkward note. This cricketer-actor fans would know that Anushka and Virat first met at a shoot<\/strong><\/a> for a commercial. During a 2019 interview with American sports journalist Graham Bensinger, Virat spilled the beans about his first interaction with Anushka<\/strong><\/a> and accepted that it was full of awkwardness, and he was filled with nervous energy. Virat also shared that a joke that he tried to crack totally missed the mark.<\/p>\n

Virat accepted in the chat that during the commercial shoot, he was super anxious. He was also conscious of his height as he was told that Anushka might be taller than him. He had casually suggested that she should skip high heels for the shoot.<\/p>\n

Virat Kohli recalled that Anushka wore shoes with a small heel but she still looked taller, making him uncomfortable. Trying to lighten the mood, he cracked a joke, but it only made things more awkward. Virat shared, \u201cI was standing there, super nervous. I had no idea how to break the ice, so I said something silly. I looked at her and said, \u2018Couldn\u2019t you have worn higher heels?\u2019 hoping it would be funny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kohli also added that while he was fumbling through his words, Anushka carried herself with complete confidence, as she was no stranger to film sets.<\/p>\n

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in December 2017 in Italy. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Vamika, in January 2021 and also had a son, Akaay, in 2024. Soon after Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have moved to London to raise their children away from constant public attention.<\/p>\n
