Chennai Super Kings will face Punjab Kings in the 49th match of IPL 2025 today, with revenge on their minds after a previous loss to the same opponent. The match will be played at Chepauk, where CSK will look to break their losing streak and restore some pride.<\/p>\n

This season has been a disappointing one for the five-time champions, who sit at the bottom of the table with just two wins from nine matches. With playoff hopes hanging by a thread, Chennai will aim for a much-needed win to stay mathematically alive in the tournament.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Punjab Kings are placed fifth with five victories in nine outings and are eyeing a spot in the top four. A win against a struggling CSK side would boost their chances.<\/p>\n

MS Dhoni: I don’t know I’m coming for the next game (laughs). One of the things is the pride factor. Majority of the games you play at home. Home advantage is very important which we haven’t been able to capitalise on. Same team. We’ve been a side where we don’t make a lot of changes. But this season we’ve made a lot of changes.<\/p>\n

Shreyas Iyer: We’re going to bowl first. We’ll focus on our process. Our preparations have been intact. Boys are in high spirits and looking forward for a great game. Unfortunate that he’s got a fractured finger (Maxwell). Haven’t decided on a replacement so far.<\/p>\n
