Actor Paresh Rawal recently discussed Mahesh Bhatt<\/strong><\/a> and his directorial style, describing how Bhatt \u201chas a way of telling you things that seem to unlock something within you as an actor.\u201d Paresh also revealed some fun anecdotes from their time working together.<\/p>\n

In an appearance on Lallantop\u2019s YouTube channel, Rawal peeled back the layers of working with the polarising Bhatt. While describing the filmmaker, he said, \u201cThere was some magic he possessed. At one point he got tired of directing and told me to act like an actor while he acted as a director. Mahesh Bhatt has this amazing quality of deciding how to talk to someone. He has a way of telling you things that seem to unlock something within you as an actor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having collaborated on numerous films, the actor is well aware of the many idiosyncrasies Bhatt exhibits as a director. He went on to share one of these quirks with both the interviewer and the audience. \u201cOne of his other habits was shooting the hardest scene on the first day. He would tell actors, \u2018Actor bolta hai na apne aap ko, Chal kar ke dikha. (You call yourself an actor, prove it.)\u2019 He would throw you in the deep end on your very first day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though Mahesh Bhatt\u2019s life has been in the spotlight for various reasons beyond his talents as a director, his influence on Bollywood is undeniable. Paresh Rawal highlighted this while discussing their film SIR and shared how Naseeruddin Shah<\/a>, of all people, recommended him for the role. He also praised the film\u2019s narrative and the performances of all the actors he worked with.<\/p>\n
