Following his 2018 film Zero, Shah Rukh Khan took a four year hiatus before making a major comeback in 2023 with blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan. During this break, particularly amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the actor frequently engaged with fans through Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions on X (formerly Twitter). In these interactions, he occasionally shared personal anecdotes, fueling followers\u2019 curiosity about his off-screen life. After sharing about his life in bits and pieces, SRK recently offered insight into his downtime, revealing that he \u201cdoes nothing\u201d when not shooting.<\/p>\n

Shah Rukh attended the inaugural ceremony of the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai<\/a> on May 1, where he joined Deepika Padukone<\/a> for a session moderated by Karan Johar<\/a>. During the discussion, the filmmaker asked the superstar about his downtime, \u201cWhat do you do when you are at your mansion?\u201d Khan replied, \u201cMy close friends know that I generally don\u2019t do much. My father taught me, \u2018Jo kuch nahi karte hain woh kamaal karte hain\u2019 (Those who do nothing achieve wonders).\u201d<\/p>\n

He further elaborated on his routine at home, \u201cI do some household chores, help clean the house, and assist my son AbRam with his books and updating his iPad. I avoid overdoing, overthinking, and overworking. I am usually in a meditative state of mind. When I am not on set, I honestly don\u2019t do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shah Rukh Khan, who is known to be a great host, added, \u201cObviously, I make my friends happy, play with my kids. That\u2019s a given. But beyond that I don\u2019t do anything. And like people say, \u2018me time\u2019, I take that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Listening to this, Karan Johar quipped, \u201cI don\u2019t know about you cleaning your house when not on set, but the person sitting next to you (pointing towards Deepika), she is always cleaning her house.\u201d\u00a0Shah Rukh chimed in, \u201cYeah and I sometimes call her ki mere bhi ghar saaf karde,\u201d leaving Deepika Padukone in splits.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
