After a video of actor Babil Khan crying and calling Bollywood \u201cfake\u201d<\/a><\/strong> went viral, his peers \u2014 Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal\u00a0 \u2014 have come out in support of the actor. In the clip, Babil had mentioned the names of several celebrities, including Ananya, Siddhant and Raghav, while also expressing that some people in Bollywood were \u201crude.\u201d However, an official statement released<\/a><\/strong> later by his team and family clarified that his words were taken out of context.<\/p>\n

Although Babil deactivated his Instagram account after the clip went viral, he, however, restored it later in the day and thanked his colleagues for their support.\u00a0Amid the controversy and debate surrounding the clip, Ananya showed her support for Babil by resharing his Instagram story. She wrote, \u201cOnly love and good energy for you Babil, always in your corner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siddhant Chaturvedi also publicly extended his support to Babil. He shared videos of the actor, among which one shows Babil writing something on a piece of paper while saying, \u201cMujh itihaas likhna hai, kitaab nahi<\/em> (I want to write history, not a book).\u201d In another clip, Siddhant, Babil, and their friends are seen singing the song \u201cWake Me Up\u201d at a house party.<\/p>\n

Sharing his take on the controversy, Siddhant condemned trolls for misinterpreting Babil\u2019s video and turning it into gossip. He wrote, \u201cI usually never engage in sh*t written about me and my colleagues, but this one\u2019s personal. So to all the redditors, gossip columns and media portals of the internet. Stop. We love to hate and hate to love, is this what we\u2019ve come to? Stop looking for drama here. All of us are working hard to bring drama to you on your screens.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cShayad wahan thodi kami reh gai hogi ki aap hamari neeji zindagi mein wo dhoondhne lage ho? Koshish jaari hai hamari taraf se, aur aap bhi koshish karein ki koi bhi judgement dene se pehle ek baar soch lein.<\/em> Peace out (Maybe we haven\u2019t been able to bring out enough drama on the big screen, and that\u2019s why you are looking for it in our personal lives. Raghav Juyal too voiced his support for Babil and referred to him as family. Sharing the official statement issued by Babil\u2019s team, Raghav wrote, \u201cBAB\u0130L is my family and I am always with him no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the original clip, Babil had named actors such as Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor<\/a>, and singer Arijit Singh. He had stated that while some people genuinely want to build the film industry, others are \u201crude.\u201d His comments were quickly misinterpreted, and many assumed he was labelling those he named as \u201crude.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the official statement released by his team and family clarified that Babil was actually praising these individuals for their efforts to positively impact the film industry. A part of the statement read, \u201cA video of Babil has been widely misinterpreted and taken out of context. In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration \u2014 for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
