Initially designated solely for government schools<\/a>, this holiday<\/a> now extends to both government<\/a> and private institutions<\/a> across the state, including areas such as Faridabad<\/a>, Gurgaon<\/a>, and Dayalbagh.<\/p>\n

Similarly, in Punjab, schools, colleges<\/a>, and other educational institutions will also remain closed on May 10, coinciding with a holiday for government offices. Prior to this, Punjab<\/a> observed a holiday on May 1 for Labour Day.<\/p>\n

Parshuram Jayanti, the birth anniversary<\/a> of Lord Parshuram, holds significance in various states including Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat.
