The Enforcement Directorate<\/a> is all set to name the Aam Aadmi Party<\/a> as an accused in its money laundering<\/a> investigation in the Excise Policy case<\/a>, the agency said on Tuesday during former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia<\/a>‘s bail plea<\/a> hearing.<\/p>\n

ED’s counsel informed<\/a> the Delhi High Court<\/a> that AAP<\/a> will be made an accused in the file and a supplementary chargesheet<\/a> will be filed very soon. “Over 250 petitions have been filed despite there being only 17 arrests. The Investigation<\/a> officer need to be there in the court almost every day,” the ED said.<\/p>\n

“AAP is going to be made a co-accused in the next prosecution complaint (charge sheet) to be filed in the case,” ED’s counsel contended before Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, who is hearing arguments on Sisodia’s bail plea.<\/p>\n

During the bail plea for Sisodia, his lawyer argued that individuals continue to be arrested by the ED and the CBI in connection with the money laundering and corruption probe<\/a> there is no question of early conclusion of the trial.<\/p>\n
