In yet another purported video<\/a>, a woman on Thursday alleged that she was attacked and dragged by miscreants<\/a> outside her residence last night in Sandeshkhali and was asked to withdraw allegations of sexual abuse<\/a> against certain Trinamool leaders<\/a>. She has reportedly filed a police complaint<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“At night, dogs were barking. So I came out of my house and then some miscreants dragged me. They gagged me and dragged me. When my daughter started calling me and people were alerted, they left me beside a pond in the dark,” the woman claimed in the purported video. The authenticity of the video could not be verified by ET. The woman also named a Trinamool<\/a> leader<\/p>\n

The purported video was shared by BJP leader<\/a> and lawyer Priyanka Tibrewal on social media<\/a>. In a post on X on Wednesday, Tibrewal said, “Today I visited Sandeshkhali, where TMC goons<\/a> are threatening the people… Shahjahan is innocent. One woman named Anwesha Mondal told me about the atrocities of Dilip Mallick, who a few days ago abducted a woman. Following this complaint, today evening, TMC<\/a> goons abducted her, tied her up, and left her beside a pond to die. We took her to the police station.”<\/p>\n

The woman also claimed that she was asked to tell the courts that the alleged incidents of atrocities on women in Sandeshkhali by local TMC leaders were “false’.<\/p><\/div>\n
