Imran Khan, who has been away from the public eye for almost a decade, is\u00a0now\u00a0making headlines with his recent appearances and interviews. The actor,\u00a0who is\u00a0also the nephew of superstar Aamir Khan<\/a>, recently revealed why his uncle does not attend award shows.\u00a0In a recent episode of\u00a0Chill Sesh<\/a>\u00a0with comedians Sapan Verma, Raunaq Rajani, and Prashasti Singh, Imran shared,\u00a0\u201cI grew up in a family of\u00a0people,\u00a0who dedicated themselves to the craft\u00a0but\u00a0none of them were enamoured by the glitz and the celebrity.\u00a0What I\u00a0was always taught\u00a0was,\u00a0\u2018We take our craft seriously, we put our heart into that, the rest of it is sprinkling on the top, which you\u00a0shouldn’t\u00a0be enamoured\u00a0with.’\u201d<\/p>\n

During the same conversation, Imran Khan<\/a>\u00a0also\u00a0shared his experience regarding award shows. He said that they\u00a0are often presented\u00a0to stars based on their availability in the city. He mentioned that he went through a similar situation after the release of his debut film\u00a0Jaane Tu\u2026\u00a0Ya\u00a0Jaane Na<\/em>\u00a0in 2008. Imran expressed,\u00a0\u201cRight after my first film came out, we went through that phase. They\u00a0don’t\u00a0address it directly, they\u00a0will ask,\u00a0\u2018Are you free on such and such date?’\u00a0Then\u00a0if\u00a0you say maybe, they will follow,\u00a0\u2018Achcha agar\u00a0aap\u00a0aa rahe hai toh<\/em>\u2026’\u00a0They\u00a0don’t\u00a0want to come out and directly talk about that thing.\u00a0So,\u00a0there were\u00a0a bunch of these things\u00a0which I felt\u00a0were weird.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a few days\u00a0ago\u00a0Aamir Khan appeared as a guest on\u00a0The Great Indian Kapil Show<\/a>.<\/em>\u00a0During the fun chit-chat, comedian Kapil Sharma\u00a0also\u00a0asked the star about his absence from award shows. To this, Aamir replied, \u201cWaqt\u00a0bahut\u00a0keemti\u00a0hai. Uska sahi istemaal karna chahiye\u00a0<\/em>[Time is precious. You should use it wisely].”<\/p>\n
