AB de Villiers, the former South Africa international and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Hall Of Famer, is widely regarded as one of the greatest innovators in batting in the 21st century. The right-handed batter was often known by the nickname Mr. 360 for his unreal ability to play shots all around the park, even behind the wickets. When on song, De Villiers’ is perhaps one of the most entertaining batters ever to have played the game.<\/p>\n

In an interview with News18 Cricketnext, De Villiers was quizzed about a potential Team India head coach job role in the future and the Protean cricket star’s response can be summed by a three-worded phrase that he used: “Never say never.”<\/p>\n

“I absolutely have no idea. I do think I\u2019ll enjoy coaching. I think there\u2019s certain elements I won\u2019t enjoy as much, which I will have to learn. With time, anything is possible and I can think on my feet and learn as I move on,” De Villiers, who is working as one of the cricket experts for JioCinema during their IPL broadcast, said.<\/p>\n

“But I think there are elements of a coaching job that I\u2019ll enjoy a lot. Things that I\u2019ve learned over the years, the maturity that I\u2019ve got now at the age of 40, looking back, a lot of things look a lot clearer when I look back at my career. So those kind of learnings could be valuable for some younger players, even some senior players,” he added.<\/p>\n

RCB Knocked Out Of IPL 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

As far as RCB, De Villiers’ ex-IPL franchise is concerned, the team team did well to reach IPL 2024 Playoffs by winning six matches in a row in the latter half of the league stage, but were eliminated from the tournament following a loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator.<\/span><\/p>\n

RR will play Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2, the winner of which will play Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2024 final at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
