On Saturday, Phalodi in West Rajasthan recorded the highest maximum <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/temperature\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">temperature<\/a> in the country at 50.0\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Temperature Ranges<\/h2>\n<p>On Saturday, maximum temperatures ranged from 44-49\u00b0C in most parts of West Rajasthan and some parts of East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and isolated pockets of Gujarat, Haryana, Telangana, and Marathwada as heatwave gripped several regions. Other regions, such as Punjab, East Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, recorded temperatures between 40-44\u00b0C. These temperatures were significantly above normal by 4-6\u00b0C in many parts of West Rajasthan, some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, and isolated pockets of Punjab, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, East Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and the northeastern states. <\/p>\n<h2>Temperature forecast amid heatwave<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Rajasthan &amp; Madhya Pradesh: No significant change in maximum temperatures for the next 3 days, followed by a decrease of about 2\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li><a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/maharashtra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maharashtra<\/a> &amp; Gujarat: No significant change in maximum temperatures for the next 24 hours, followed by a decrease of 2-3\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>East India: Maximum temperatures are expected to drop by 4-5\u00b0C in the next 24 hours, remain steady for the subsequent 2 days, and then gradually rise by 2-4\u00b0C.<\/li>\n<li>Northeast India: Maximum temperatures are expected to drop by 6-8\u00b0C over the next 2 days, with no significant changes thereafter.<\/li>\n<li>Rest of the Country: No significant changes in maximum temperatures expected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Heatwave warnings for the next 5 Days<\/h2>\n<p>Heatwave Conditions: Expected in many parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and isolated parts of West Uttar Pradesh from May 26 to 28, with a gradual reduction thereafter.
