The minister&#8217;s statement came a day after the Janata Dal (S) MP, who is seeking re-election from Hassan, released a video, announcing that he would surrender before the SIT which is investigating allegations of sexual abuse of women against him.<\/p>\n<p>The MP may have decided to come back as his Lok Sabha membership would expire if he lost the <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/elections\" rel=\"noopener\">election<\/a>, and his <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/diplomatic-passport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diplomatic passport<\/a> would also be impounded, the minister said. If he didn&#8217;t return by May 31, the next process would start, he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have taken all efforts within the country to bring Prajwal back. We have written to the <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/central-government\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">central government<\/a>, we have obtained a warrant against him, which we have informed the ministries of home and external affairs. Also, a <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/blue-corner-notice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Corner Notice<\/a> has been issued &#8230; a chargesheet and other things will be done later.
