Alam will be produced on June 1 before the court through video conference. <\/p>\n<p><!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=107107653potime:1-->The minister was arrested by the <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/enforcement-directorate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enforcement Directorate<\/a> on May 15, following two days of interrogation at the agency&#8217;s office. <\/p>\n<p>Alam&#8217;s lawyer Kishlay Prasad said, &#8220;The 14-day <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/ed-remand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ED remand<\/a> completed today. There was a prayer for judicial custody and it was granted.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/pmla\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PMLA<\/a> court remanded Alam to six-day ED custody on May 17, and the remand was extended for five days on May 22 and three more days on May 27. <\/p>\n<p>Alam&#8217;s lawyer said a prayer for medical aid was made in view of the health condition and age of the minister, and the court allowed it. <\/p>\n<p>Alam serves as the <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/state-parliamentary-affairs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state parliamentary affairs<\/a> and rural development minister.
