Denmark’s prime minister Mette Frederiksen has beaten in an open street in central Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

Ms Frederiksen was “shock” by the incident hit, the prime minister’s office said.<\/p>\n

It is unclear whether the PM has been left injured by the attack.<\/p>\n

A man has been arrested and in a post on X, Copenhagen Police said the incident took place at Kultorvet, a square in the city’s Old Town.<\/p>\n

The attack comes two days before Danes head to the polls to vote in the EU elections and Ms Frederiksen has been on the campaign trail in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, she joined other world leaders in Normandy, France, to commemorate 80 years since the D-Day landings<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
