On day 1, the film collected \u20b94 crore, according to a<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.sacnilk.com\/quicknews\/Munjya_2024_Box_Office_Collection_Day_1?hl%3Den&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717924884193000&amp;usg=AOvVaw0XVYR7slHxRL5YBmGsv2sg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sacnilk.com\/quicknews\/Munjya_2024_Box_Office_Collection_Day_1?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0Sacnilk<\/a>\u00a0report. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar,\u00a0<em>Munjya\u00a0<\/em>features Abhay Verma as Bittu, Sharvari Wagh as Bela, and Mona Singh who plays the role of Bittu&#8217;s mother, Pammi. The film narrates the story of Bittu, who returns to his ancestral village and accidentally releases an angry ghost named Munjya. He then tries to save himself and Bela from this ghost.\u00a0The duo&#8217;s encounters with Munjya are both funny and scary in equal measure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ahead of\u00a0<em>Munjya&#8217;<\/em>s release, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/entertainment\/mona-singh-condemns-paparazzi-for-clicking-inappropriate-pictures-5829434\">Sharvari Wagh<\/a> talked about her character in the film. A very beautifully written character.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In a review for\u00a0<a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/entertainment\/munjya-review-rarely-spooky-enough-to-deliver-jump-scares-1-5-stars-5836997&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1717924884193000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2BXjJ9TNuTPDAgvVnALyMd\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/entertainment\/munjya-review-rarely-spooky-enough-to-deliver-jump-scares-1-5-stars-5836997\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0NDTV<\/a>, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave\u00a0<em>Munjya<\/em>\u00a01.5 out of 5 stars and wrote, \u201c<em>Munjya<\/em>, shot with great flair by cinematographer Saurabh Goswami, is rarely spooky enough to deliver jump scares\u2026The acting in\u00a0<em>Munjya<\/em>\u00a0is mercifully not as over the top as the storyline is. The spotlight is on the eponymous creature but Abhay Verma as the boy struggling to hold on to his sanity does enough not to be overshadowed.
