He called for legislative elections beginning on June 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Macron\u2019s decision was indicative of the devastating nature of the European Parliament election results. But the outcome has unsettled the bloc\u2019s mainstream establishment and seems likely to steel the far-right as a disruptive force.
