They did not mention the party anywhere else in the text of the advert, or on the visuals if the advert was an image (no videos were watched).<\/p>\n<p>Of the 19 Labour MPs, all mentioned the party in the written text above the advert, as well as in the funding declaration.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-article-widget sdc-article-related-stories sdc-article-related-stories--thumbnails\" data-component-name=\"sdc-article-related-stories\">\n<div class=\"sdc-article-related-stories__content\">\n<h3 class=\"sdc-article-related-stories__title\">More on General Election 2024<\/h3>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Most Labour candidates&#8217; adverts are plastered in party branding.<\/p>\n<p>But for a number of Conservatives, it&#8217;s hard to tell at a glance that they&#8217;re Conservatives.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-article-widget sdc-article-image\">\n<figure class=\"sdc-article-image__figure\">\n<div class=\"sdc-article-image__wrapper\" data-aspect-ratio=\"16\/9\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"ui-media-caption\">\n        <span class=\"u-hide-visually\">Image:<\/span><br \/>\n        <span class=\"ui-media-caption__caption-text\">A leaflet from Andrea Jenkyns, featuring Nigel Farage<br \/>\n        <\/span><br \/>\n      <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>That includes several prominent figures, including cabinet ministers Johnny Mercer and Grant Shapps, and former Conservative leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith.<\/p>\n<p>The online adverts are the quantifiable aspect of a trend that, anecdotally, appears to be the case on the ground too.<\/p>\n<p>Johnny Mercer completely avoids Conservative branding in his election leaflets. Of the top advertising spenders, only 16 of them were either Lib Dem, Green, Reform or Sinn Fein.
